Updated on: 25/03/2008 07:39
Some of the creations in this issue of Homespun Cloth Dolls and Bears are ready to tackle the big issues. Wistful Darcy the Pierrot takes on the great tragedies of unrequited love; while Grace the rustic angel doll promises that wishes really do come true. Sarah and Susannah simple cloth dolls made by twin sisters Prue Scott and Yvette Stanton capture the exquisite simplicity of childhood. After our first issue was published we received frequent requests for more dolls for experienced dollmakers. In this issue we offer Kate a design which presents a challenge with her individually defined fingers and exquisitely detailed clothing that makes her a pleasure to dress and undress. In our next issue we`ll be presenting a doll with a needle-sculpted face and several challenging features plus much much more.
